This American Life is a weekly public radio program that creates theme-based stories and interviews. "You've Come to The Right Person" is an interview that explores what happens when people seek answers from uniquely qualified experts—including a stunt coordinator reassuring a car-obsessed child. The goal was to translate the audio narrative into a cohesive visual system that amplified emotion while maintaining clarity.

Instead of traditional pull quotes, select lines were highlighted within the body text using a restrained blue accent to preserve flow. Abstract blue fractal imagery subtly referenced storied police lights and crashes without literal depiction. Together, these elements created a unified system that reinforced tension and supported a cohesive reading experience 

A type system was developed—grounded in hierarchy, harmony, and balance to guide the reader intentionally. A modular grid established consistency while allowing controlled variation that reflected moments of heightened tension.
